The Society for the Promotion of Hellenic Studies, generally known as the Hellenic Society, was founded in 1879 to advance the study of Greek language, literature, history, art, and archaeology in the Ancient, Byzantine, and Modern periods. It has achieved this primarily through its annual publication, the Journal of Hellenic Studies, and its supplement, Archaeological Reports, both distributed free to members and subscribers.

The Society also helps maintain the Hellenic and Roman Library in partnership with the Roman Society and the Institute of Classical Studies. It organizes annual lectures in London, occasional conferences and receptions, and supports local Classical Association branches across the UK with lectures and events.

Dedicated to supporting Hellenic Studies at all levels, the Society provides grants to schools, universities, undergraduates, graduate students, and early-career researchers.

The mission of the South Asian American Vascular Society (SAAVS) is to serve as a global community for vascular surgeons of South Asian heritage.

We are dedicated to improving vascular health across the South Asian diaspora and the South Asian subcontinent through fellowship, education, collaborative research, and meaningful partnerships with regional and national vascular societies in the United States and around the world.

SAAVS strives to support the career development of vascular surgeons of South Asian origin by fostering mentorship, research opportunities, and professional advancement.

We are committed to being an inclusive and supportive organization for medical students, residents, and fellows—providing opportunities for networking, collaboration, and presentation of scholarly work.

At our core, SAAVS champions diversity, equity, and inclusion in vascular education, training, and research—both within our membership and in the broader field of vascular surgery.
